12 oz bottle into a nonic
Big frothy 2-3 finger head. Pale amber to red color, note of cinnamon in the nose, quickly becomes more lagerlike.
Bitey kick to it in the initial sips, down boy. Malts really come through in toasted notes, subdued sweetness for a marzen differentiates this (maybe in a good way). Mouthfeel grade will be a bit down, still fighting me which I don't appreciate.
Enjoyable flavors after that. Balanced is a good word to use here. Once the bite backs down this is very drinkable.
A better beer than the scores on here, not a great beer or anything but one you can have a few of and really enjoy. A seasonal without the off-putting taste most "seasonal" brews offer (I don't dig most fall/Oktoberfest beers).
