Crystal clear, amber-red. Fluffy pale tan head with good retention.
Lots of malt aroma with toasty elements playing a role. I get a slightly earthy note which might be from hops.
Lots of malt up front with a good toasted character. Plenty of bitterness with it probably being just a bit too bitter for what it is meant to be. No real hop flavour is present. Slight mineral quality on the end with a dry finish.
Creamy mouthfeel. Medium-full body with moderately high carbonation. Not cloying but a bit too "full" for an Oktoberfest.
A smooth, full beer with lots of malt character. Plenty of bitterness playing in here. I couldn't drink a lot of this simply due to the way it all fits together. Not bad.
