Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass

A: Pours copper amber with a frothy tan head that settles to thin layer and leaves a little spotty lacing.

S: Light apple-y esters, quickly followed with toasty bready malt, caramel toffee sweetness, a touch nutty, and subtle earthiness on the back end.

T: Rich toasty bready malt with honey, caramel, and brown sugar sweetness, fruity esters, a slightly nutty, and subtle earthy herbal notes.

M: A touch on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: Sits a bit sweeter than I prefer, but if you're looking for something to "Prost!" with this will do the job. Definitely better than its average score sits at right now.

Crystal clear copper, dense faded khaki head, good retention, streaky lace
Caramel and toasty malt aroma
Caramel, toast, herbal bitterness
Medium bodied and appropriately carbonated
Prettiest colored Octoberfest I've had this year, but isn't that great

Poured into a tall clear pint glass. Appearance is a reddish-amber/copper, with about a finger worth of white head. Decent retention and lacing.

Aroma: bready, grassy, roasted malts, honey, somewhat spicy, caramel, toffee, cherry, molasses, and brown sugar.

The taste pretty much follows the nose, grassy, bready, roasted malts, counterbalanced with sweet dark flavors. Body is light.

12oz bottle bb 01.18.22 poured into a dimpled mug at fridge temp 5.6% ABV. The beer pours mostly bright dark amber with light brown head. The head recedes to a thin cap and leaves a few spots of lacing. The aroma is faint with a nutty caramel note. The taste is burnt sugar caramel with nutty notes trailing into an earthy moderately bitter finish. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, good. Not a bad American version, but too bitter and too caramel.

A bottle poured into a pint glass. Look has an impressive off-white-tan foam head and a gorgeous amber-reddish colored body with a few bubbles wafting upwards. Scent is classic dogtoberfest - bready, malty, a touch on the sweeter side (notes of honey and caramel). Taste follows well, along with a tinsy bit of hop poking through to avoid too much malt profile. Feel is on the medium side with a smooth, watery body and pleasant malty sweetness in the aftertaste. Not the most extreme marzen in any dimension but strikes me as an overall solid offering.

12 ounce bottle poured into a mug.
Best by: 1/5/22

I have had this one in the past and wasn't fan but grabbed a single this year to give it another go. Unfortunately as in the past it seems to be overly sweet and under attenuated. While in my opinion not a good example of the style I did not have a problem drinking just the one.

Pours a clear straw yellow from the bottle, half-inch head, moderate retention and light lacing. Nose is raw sugar and yeast esters; not much developed malt or hop notes. Taste is adjunct forward, corny sweetness; no roast character. Feel is somehow both light and greasy at the same time. There are better examples out there to be found.

Drinking this at one of my favorite tap rooms, Tapped Craft and Drafts in Greenville NC.
Poured from a tap into a pint glass.
Looks amber with a nice tan foamy head that dropped quickly to a thin cap.
Smells lightly bready, malty, spicy.
Taste follows the nose nicely, caramel and toffee.
Mouth feel is medium for the style.
Overall a very nice example of an Octoberfest Marzen that I would definitely order again.
Cheers!
