Nice bottle label art as usual from Flying Dog. Pours as a copper color with thin head that dissipates immediately. Leaves a thin soapy film on top.
Smell is of corn, malts, and a touch of caramel.
Taste was a letdown - it tastes like a corny malt if there was such a thing. Corn is the dominant flavor and there's alcohol overtones that threaten to take away the flavor entirely.
Mouthfeel is a bit astringent and thick. Does go down smooth without any burning, over-carbonation, or bitterness so it goes down as average in my book.
Drinkability is low. I was able to finish this but had no desire to go find more of these. I'd much rather drink other Oktoberfest beers or almost any of Flying Dog's other offerings.
