Snake Dog IPA.
Snake Dog pours out with a pale amber body, lots of frothy head and lacing, along with ample carbonation.
Smell is grainy, with a noticeable alcoholic fusel note rounding out the back end. A bit of caramel malt, and citric hops come through as well. Not very appealing.
Taste is definitely East Coast IPA reminiscent. Spicy pungent hop oils, resinous dank leafs, and sappy bittering pine. There is a reassuring muskiness, that blends with the pungency to create a very straight forward yet, pleasing IPA. The hopping is very assertive, and the malt balance is definitely there. The bitterness is raw, and earthly. Very solid IPA here. Could down a couple of the no problem.
Good East Coast IPA. Borderline DIPA. Tasty, and easy to drink, good balance.
