Copper to reddish amber colour with a slightly off-white head about a fingers width tall and of bubbly texture. The head eventually settles to a thin lacing
Sweet and sugary with some good toffee notes following this up, I can also detect a touch of caramel which seems to go hand in hand with toffee in a lot of beers. There is a nice fruity aroma to it and a touch of hops and a biscuit malt aroma.
A malty taste to begin with quickly followed by some toffee and biscuit flavours and a touch of caramel. There is a tiny amount of malty hops and a sweet, earthy flavour.
Medium in body and with a lot of sweetness. The carbonation is lively and the finish is a wet one with a lingering malty feel.
A great beer although not what I was expecting when I read that it was an IPA, it was a lot more malty and earthy than that but very enjoyable and a good variation of the usual style.
