Poured into pub glass.
A: Pours a clear chestnut color with a two finger pillowy light beige head after an aggressive pour. A thin layer of foam persists after the head dissipates.
S: Notes of light roasted coffee. Some hops. Sweet malts. Not getting a whole lot here.
T: Moderate roasted malt flavors, with a light char in the finish and aftertaste. There's a decent level of bitterness. A bit thin in the flavor department although there are some nice grain notes and very slight hints of dark fruits as it warms. This beer defintely needs to be at the proper serving temperature to get the most out of it. Not robust enough to be my preferred kind of porter. Reminds me in some ways of a brown ale.
M: Light to medium bodied, carbonation is average.
D: A fairly drinkable beer on account of its lack of flaws and undemanding flavor profile. An easy drinking, sessionable brew.
Overall, an easy drinking, sessionable beer, but to me it's somewhat boring and just not holding my interest. I don't dislike it and may even buy it again, but it's a fairly mass appeal brew.

aroma is mainly vanilla accompanied by some toffee, smoked malts, dark chocolate and espresso beans. Appears black with a magenta hue and thin white foam. Taste is mildly dry with bitter black coffee overtones, assertive toffee, creamy nougat, dry chocolate and some faint hop bitterness. Overall, pretty well rounded and different porter. Very dry all around with some alcohol coming through as it warms.
