12oz. bottle poured into an imperial pint. Bottled sometime in 2009 (couldnt make out the bottle code). Thanks to BeerFMAndy for the trade!
(A)- Pours a deep dark brown color. No head to speak of except for some grayish bubbles.
(S)- Some roasted maltiness with a hint of sweetness to it. Its really weak in the aroma category.
(T)- Nice roastedness of the malts with a touch of creamed coffee nuances. Slightly hoppy.
(M)- Creamy with a touch of bitterness/roasted malts. Fine carbonation. Kinda chalky in texture.
(D)- A pretty run of the mill porter in my book. Its got the right flavors, but nothing really jumps out at me or surprises me in any way. Good for what it is, but it could be so much more.
