Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours orange red with a fluffy off white head. Smells of citrus and nice grain backbone. Tastes of sweet malt with nice citrus hops with grassy notes. Beer is medium bodied with nice carbonation, a bit heavy and booze comes through. Overall, a very good beer.

A-pours a hazy orange golden color with an off white head with good retention and decent lacing
S-honey, wheat, apricot, biscuit, earthy
T-more honey and apricot, dry biscuit notes throughout with subtle earthy tone
M-medium bodied with average carbonation
O-well balanced and unique DIPA, not the typical citrus and tropical fruit IPA. worth trying

First of all, the Enjoy By date on my bottles is from over two months ago. Oh well!
Look: Not the prettiest. Somewhere between yellow and amber, with a lasting white head that leaves considerable lacing behind.
Smell: Slightly fermented tropical fruit, and (dare I say it?) a chocolate note.
Taste: Tropical fruit present, but surprisingly it's the chocolate/malt that takes the forefront.
Feel: Less crisp than many IPAs, more along the lines of a creamy mouth feel you'd associate with a stout. I guess that's the 'imperial' showing its influence.
Overall: A truly delightful brew. I was a bit worried about the Enjoy By date, but my fears were unfounded. Glad I picked up a whole six pack!

Brassy gold in color, with a frothy cap of off-white foam.
Aroma-Earthy, flowery, herbal hops
Taste-Toasted malt, herbal flowery hops. Very smooth and well-balanced for strength. Low hop bitterness but nice hop flavor. Crisp finish. Nicely done.

BBD 6/8/16. Pours clear with a light amber with light garnet cast. Quite outstanding head volume and retention, world class lacing.
Very good but light nose of floral hops coupled with even lighter pine and citrus notes (orange).
Medium body that approaches heavy medium with a rich smoothness that has significant creamy aspects. Outstanding carbonation / body balance. The middle has just enough effervescence to open the flavors up while the finish is moderately prickly.
The flavor profile is quite outstanding. It begins as floral hops that flow to the middle. Here the rich malt base provides a bready sweetness with caramel hints, rather than notes. Over the sweetness, the hop flavor shifts to tropical (mango, pineapple) and citrus (orange). The sweetness extends through the slightly dry finish. Bitterness is mild. The finish is a slow fade that takes on a light spruce aspect and alcohol becomes slightly uncovered at the end.

Poured into standard pint glass: color is copper, transparent, head is light tan with medium size bubbles, very little lacing.
Smell is moderate hoppiness, bitter, earthy and piney, subtle toast and pale malt.
Taste is similar to the aroma with fairly hoppy initial flavor, with the earthy/piney hops coming through quickly, a little resinous; malts are background flavor and present with some caramel and toast flavors.
Mouthfeel is very good for the hop level, moderate sweetness at first than quickly dried out by the hop bitterness; lingering presence is dry; moderate carbonation.
Overall, a solid DIPA, the single hop idea works here but the hop (or the freshness) seems be fairly neutralizing: bitter, earthy and drying.

Deep gold color; thick, sticky, white head. Pine aroma; mild notes of tropical fruit; caramel malt. Malty and bitter flavor; some bread crust tones; oak. Heavy body; coarse and sticky; some dryness from the alcohol; heavy sweetness initially yet ultimately dry finish.
A solid IIPA with a very malty backbone yet packing in the hop bitterness. It is not very strong in the aroma department but does a fine job with the other areas.

12oz bottle, sample from the brewery.
Great looking amber hued brew, suds showoff a bit. Herbal, tropical fruit, piney, and a kiss of caramel in the nose. Ample hop bitterness, smooth with a chewy medium body. Warming with esters abound. Green tea, tobacco, pineapple, fresh cut grass, and peppercorn on the palate. A great experimental hop, hope it moves forward and gets a real name. Tastes a bit of old school and new together.
