This brew poured to a golden color, very clear with a good sized white head that surprised me with its retention and lacing. The aroma was bread like with some lemon and grassy hop smell. The flavors here seem to be quite crisp, dough comes to mind but with a fair hop bite that added a slight lemon like flavor probably from the Hallertau hops. Has a nice dry finish, overall this brew impressed me a bit. I do feel that this one is quite drinkable and while being pretty simple it does not need to be anything else. Now, I don't have a very extensive grasp of this style but this brew seem to work quite well based on some of the other Kolsch offerings I have had. This might be a good beer for BMC drinkers to try, simple and none of the flavors are overpowering and a pretty nice summer brew.
