This is an excellent German Stlye Wheat beer. If you close your eyes you might think you are in Munich. It has the classic "banana & clove" smell and taste. Excellent appearence, nice lasting head, and great aroma. Put your Lederhosen on and enjoy a cold one. Great job Flying Dog!!

(335A14 - poured into a fluted goblet)

wow! wasn't expecting this. excellent balance, definition, and intensity of doughy-yeasty malt, clove-smacked bitterness, and banana afterglow... later on, a delicate sweetness rolls on up in the finish

went quite well with the huge plate of mashed potatoes, white garlic-chicken sausage, with accompanying caramelized onions. more of a mellow, hazy-bright shine of lemon and orange esters emanates around the perimeters once I dug in...

gotta have more breakfasts like this!

they appear to have hit the mark here! - the look, the feel, the flavor... a mix between a Paulaner and Erdinger? either/or, it tastes rather German to me. I'd certainly hit this again when in a wheaty mood.

12 ounce bottle into weizen glass, best before 7/25/2014. Pours hazy deep gold color with a small foamy off white head with poor retention, that reduces to nothing. No glass lacing, and a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, orange, banana, pear, apple, clove, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange, banana, pear, apple, clove, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light bready tartness and yeast spice on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, banana, pear, apple, clove, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice complexity and solid robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt sweetness; with a good yeast/malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, fairly crisp, and slightly watery/bready mouthfeel that is ok. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is a pretty solid hefeweizen. Good balance and solid robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt sweetness; and very smooth to drink. It was fairly enjoyable.
