Reviewed from notes. Pour from bottle into pint glass smells of yeast an almost sourdough like smell. Little to no head which disappears fairly quickly and leaves only minor trace lacing around the glass. Hmmm not a bad American hefeweizen, also my first beer from the Flying Dog brewery which I've seen a lot of but not heard much about from friends into the good stuff. The taste however seems to be all in the front, tastes of yeast and wheat that has a slight burn before finishing rather clean and abruptly. I'd definitely like to try some other styles from Flying Dog as this was good and would be good over the course of an evening with friends or to have a couple over dinner. But nothing to make me seek it out specifically.
