Almost but not quite... it bills itself as a hefe, but I say
"not quite". I'm a big fan of the German import hefe's. This american brew is pretty darn close, but it just doesn't carry the flavor. HOWEVER, for the price and the country...it's a darn good brew.
The appearance is good, it is almost the same as as hefes, just not quite as cloudy. The smell is also good. It could fool an experienced nose. The taste is actually very good; I rated it a 3.5 because I compared it to the German counter-part. It still has a very good flavor and taste. Go for it. The mouthfeel is good. It's almost as smooth as the German brands.
Drinkability on this is very high for me. I enjoyed this brew and could drink it all night...have a few.
Overall, it's a very enjoyable brew...
