Bottle poured into la chouffe tulip
Appearance - beautiful clear amber - nice head not best retention light lacing
Aroma - strong citrus hops, alc and syrupy sweetness apparent, yummy malt profile present
taste - wow - not for the faint hearted...this is a big beer. hops are aggressive and delicious - tones of caramel and maltiness, floral and decent amounts of syrupy sweetness. There's a sharp alcohol bite and a strange "spiciness" that I cannot place - maybe due to carbonation/alcohol/hops??? coming through as one strong bite? I'm not entirely sure but I don't dislike it.
Overall - For what they were going for I think this is an amazing beer, a bit hard to handle for those who aren't in the mood for a big beer.
