Amber to brown in color. Hazy from the yeast. Thin off-white head with lace patches.
Orange and citrus hop aroma. Cinammon spice. Can't smell any alcohol.
Hops dominate the palate up-front with a wide variety of flavors ranging from orange to pine to dish soap. Malt fights to get noticed with a solid biscuity character and caramel sweetness. Cinammon spice in the flavor too. Overall, well-balanced. Tons of flavors but nothing goes unnoticed.
Medium to full-bodied ale with low carbonation. Coarse, semi-dry texture. Hops add some heat! The only way to detect the 11.5% alcohol is by the drying and warming sensations.
Pretty solid double IPA. I'd buy it again.
