A- lovely deep gold - honey colored. Thick head dissipated quickly, leaving no lacing.

S- sweet, malty nose. Agitating the beer yields resinous hops and some alcohol.

T- taste is well balanced for the strength. Astringent, but not unpleasant, alcohol burn. Pungent hop flavor, but with a sweet, mighty malt backbone.

M- thick, chewy, delicious. Moderate carbonation.

O- a strong, intimidating, but tasty DIPA. Letting it warm slowly unlocked more sweet malt and alcohol, but I still found this a pleasant, balanced experience despite the strength. One 12 oz. bottle per session though!

Best by: 1.27.15. Drank 1.14.15. 12oz bottled poured into a 18oz Tulip.

A: One and a half fingers of fine, dusty, off white head. Deep and rich orange body with a slight oily appearance. A trace of fog through the body, but otherwise perfectly still and clear. Leaves a thick collar once settled.

S: Syrup levels of sweet malt, traces of dank hop oil, caramel, alcohol. Carries a certain musk of 'thickness', whatever that means.

T: Malt, followed by hop bitterness, and then another wave of boozy malt. Incredibly sweet, overbearing amounts of caramel/molasses/brown sugar.

M: Extremely heavy body for a DIPA, hits sharp, then fades into a pool of syrup.

O: I have no idea what this beer is trying to be, it certainly isn't a DIPA, and unless you like syrupy booze heavy beers, I can't imagine why anyone would speak positively of this beer. It does get a touch better as it warms, and my scores reflect that.
