A - Slightly more than a finger's worth of crisp audibly fizzy snow white colored uniform frothiness... Modest at best retention gives way to a fairly thick lacing of much the same characteristics... The color is a moderately hazed pale lemony yellow straw... Mostly still with just a few stray carbonation bubbles here and there... Some additional carbonation bubbles cling to the sides of the glass... There is also some suspended sediment throughout...

S - Fresh cracked wheat... Light Belgian yeast notes... Orange zest... Lemon zest... White pepper... Perhaps just a slight hint of sage... Somewhat subdued, but the aromas work well together...

T - All components alluded to by the nose are present on the palate... However, these component become somewhat muddled and do not compliment one another as they do in terms of aroma...

M - Medium bodied... Crisp carbonation... Much denser than I expected... A slightly soapy finish...

D - Not a bad Witbier by any means, but not one of my first (or second) options either... The best adjective I can come up with overall is pedestrian... Average at best in most categories... The mouthfeel distracts a bit as its slightly off putting... However, this one will serve it's purpose on a hot summer's day...

This is a very pale, moderately clear beer. The head is enormous and brilliantly white. I expected a little more haze in the brew. The smell is typical of the style. Sweet and fruity, with lots of citrus and light herb scents. The smell is a little malty, notably sweet, and it has a slightly spice and earth flavor. Almost no bitterness of hop presence in the taste. Very light in body. It's a refreshing and nice summer brew, but is overall fairly average for the style.

Poured into a Duvel tulip. Label says 232A14.

A- Pours a hazy dark golden color with a 1/2 inch white head that retains decently before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a small center patch of surface foam. Semi-resilient lacing leaves small clots behind.

S- The usual notes of coriander, lemongrass, orange peel and...ooh, what's this? I swear there's some cinnamon in this which is different for a witbier but welcome. And it's like Big Red cinnamon too, not pumpkin pie cinnamon.

T- Flavor isn't quite as interesting as the aroma as there's the usual yeast, wheat and mild banana notes. Fruity, easy to drink.

M- Slightly tangy and bright with medium carbonation and a light body.

O- Sessionable and flavorful but it doesn't stand out in the sea of witbiers on the market.

Swirled in the bottle yeast and darkened my beer to an flat ochre color with tons of turbidity. The head clumped to a mass of two fingers and dried out like meringue topping. Looks great.

Coriander is moderate, and the yeast really pushes lemon filling out over the pie crust of golden wheat. But, I really like that they used a bitter orange peel to scale back any aromatic sweetness. Offers more zestiness than anything that this low hop profile can emit.

Great soft wheat flavors that create a base for a spicy witbier. Eggy body transfers energy perfectly in the mouth. A solid peppery bite upfront with the flavors of coriander in the finish. Middle is jammed with witte yeast elegance, orange peel, lemon, and slight grassiness. Really, on-point, especially in the mouthfeel.
