Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed golden-straw color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades super-fast to leave a tiny bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a yeasty smell mixed with a spicy smell of coriander and clove. A decent wheaty base is there as well, along with some lemongrass and a little bit of an orange smell.

Taste – The taste begins with a lighter wheat bread flavor as well as having a rather heavy yeasty and spicy flavor of coriander and clove. Along with these flavors comes some tastes of a citrus orange and some light banana. As the taste moves on further, the orange fades while the banana increases a bit. A little bit of lemon come to the tongue along with some hay and a grassy taste. In the end with the dawdling of the orange sweetness, the advent of the grass and hay, and the good level of yeast and spice, one is left with a rather balanced witbier flavor to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel- The body of the brew is on the thinner and crisper side with a carbonation level that is average to just above average. For the lighter abv. and the yeasty and wheaty flavor of the brew, the feel is rather decent and makes for a rather refreshing beer.

Overall – A rather decent and refreshingly balanced wit. Rather well done and an easy drinker at only 4.8 %.

A - Pale, almost straw yellow. A little cloudy. Big white fluffy head with good retention. Small amount of dotty lacing.

S - Some wheat aroma, little bit of citrus

T - Wheat and Citrus flavours. More Citrus coming from the American Hops used I presume. Great tasting. Some Belgian yeast flavours.

M - Quite a high carbonation level, with a sharp, crisp finish.

06/27/12 Very well balanced taste with a reasonable body. May prove a wee bit heavy, texture-wise, for the long haul, but if you want a kick starter for a non-school night you could do worse than to start here. I'll be back!

White foamy head, some lacing around the top of the glass. Hazy, pale yellow in color. Very light aroma of coriander and the orange peel. Taste is somewhat underwhelming compared to the smell of the coriander and oranges. Crisp, light on the palette. Really nice in the summer as it is very drinkable. High carbonation, nice mouth feel. Dry and grainy, Finishes nicely with a tad of bitterness.
