12 oz bottle pours a hazed orange body with a skimpy white head that quickly vanishes with only a trace of wispy lace. Aroma has caramel, floral hops, white pepper, and a hint of fruity esters. Light medium body has plenty of carbonation. Taste is disappointing. Fruity and caramel sweetness becomes tiring quickly and the bitter grassy hops are not up to the task of providing balance. Maltiness is bready. Not a bad drinker, but not very true to style.

A: Pours brilliant gold to amber under a rich 2” off white head that dclings to the glass leaving sheets of lace.
S: Spicy nose with a touch of very ripe fruit.
T: Fruit, malt and a touch of sour.
F: Very good medium to medium full body, highly carbonated.
O: Very drinkable Biere de Gaarde that would go very well with a sausage.
