A-Deeply burnished rust colored body with gold highlights. Head was 2 fingers thick with a very vigorous pour. The head quickly faded but left some lacing.
S-Biscuit and overly ripened fruit. Some heavy esters coming from the yeast along with some green apple skin. Slight funk but clearly not brett-induced.
T/M-Sweet sugars and spicy yeast attributes come strong. The flavors seem one-dimensional and the alcohol comes on a bit strong. The bittering hops come off a bit coarse and the malt seems to be oversold. This does have a decent dry finish, but it seems forced as the sugars dont seem fully fermented.
D-Sub par tripel and probably victim to a rushed fermentation. Not bad but not one that I could visit more than once or twice in a session.

Tasting at the brewery from their first Throw Back Thursday pilot batch, where they bring back retired beers for tasting/growlers, and a pour from a 64 oz. growler into a HS Teku
A: Golden straw color with a minimal head.
S: Classic Belgian yeast and bread notes.
T: Interesting honey notes and bit of spice to it. Damn decent tripel, that is a solid take on the style.
M: Nice bit of carbonation that is a bit foamy.
O: I don't know how the old mass production batch was like, but this was good as a pilot batch.
