Two inflammatory words...one wild drink. Nectar imprisoned in a bottle. An anything-but-delicate blend of sharp hoppiness and fruity aroma, this beer is a life-changing backyard knife-fight for your palate. Once you’ve had a Raging Bitch, everything else pales in comparison. Fermented with a volcano-like Belgian yeast strain called “El Diablo,” Raging Bitch earned its polarizing name from the aggressively active nature of the yeast—unleashed, untamed, unbridled...and in heat. Enjoy its golden glow and white foaming head alongside bold flavors like spicy BBQ wings, blue cheese salads, or that bag of family-sized Cool Ranch Doritos you’re going to destroy later while binge-watching Netflix.

Raging Bitch pours from a 12oz. bottle a nice copper gold body with a two finger foam head. Retention was modest with no lacing.
Aroma is quite strong with hops, pine, citrus notes, and some slight bubblegum being the most dominant in the nose. There is some belgian character in the mix, but is just pushed back by the strength of the hops.
Its a good beer, don't get me wrong. But I don't get a whole lot of belgian character out of this. The hoppiness is superb, slightly herbal and clean bitterness makes it a good breed of IPA, but they just about hide the yeast. I get some clove and white pepper towards the finish with a faint metallic undertone. Alcohol remains hidden throughout.
Mouthfeel is a good highlight. Medium with a few notches under being full. Fills the mouth pretty good.
Good drinkability with the alcohol dececption, but might be a bit cloying half way through a pour.

The pour is marmalade colored. The taste is grapefruit & a hint of orange. The 8% abv is well hidden. Cheers! B

Slightly hazy golden amber, with light white head.
Smell is slight honey, some resinous pine, and a vague fruity aroma. Light biscuity malt , and a background yeasty smell.
Taste is pine and a bit of citrus rind.
Feel is medium, lightly sticky, with moderate, very fine, sharp carbonation.
Overall, not bad. Classic, old-school-type resinous DIPA. Don't get much of the "Belgian", except in the aroma. Nevertheless, it's a good, solid IPA, that's a nice break from NEIPAs .

She has lost some of her Belgian quality over the years. Miss her murky waters. The initial Belgian yeast scent fades quickly now. If this hadn't come so far as MD, and if it were readily available, I might rate it higher. Still has a nice label, but it doesn't advertise itself as Belgian style any longer. As it probably shouldn't. Why fuck with a good thing flying dog?

Would not buy it again. Stringent lingering aftertaste that takes all of the fun out. Belgian ? Yes. IPA ? If so, I don't know where...?? This beer has no resemblance to a typical IPA. Think Belgian with a ferocious bitter and affronting aftertaste.
GLTA. I won't go back to this one.
