355ml bottle from Vino Wines, Edinburgh:
Orange amber colour with a thumb sized, foamy looking head that is white in colour and has excellent retention. The head holds for well over five minutes without reducing any.
A strong hop filled aroma, mainly a floral one along with some yeast and a fruity aroma. There is some mango, a little citrus and grapefruit as well as some hints of orange giving it quite a fruity.
Hop filled with some grapefruit and floral flavours. There is a strong alcohol taste around the middle with some sugar, citrus and a few tropical fruit flavours. It is very Belgian like again and there is some apricot in there somewhere as well along with the hop bitterness and some spice throughout.
Medium with strong carbonation and a dry feel to the beer but a smooth one as well. There is some grain and a lot of bitterness at the end with some alcohol at the end.
A strong beer with the high alcohol content not particularly well hidden but the beer is definitely Belgian in style and taste, it certainly reminded me of Duvel a lot but it wasn't quite in the same league as it.
