Poured from a 12 oz. capped bottle (no date) into a tulip glass.
A moderate pour yields a 1-finger cream-colored head that quickly fades after a minute or so to a thin, clumpy dusting and thin foam ring. The body is a perfectly clear amber copper with a good amount of large, quick-rising carbonation bubbles. Very little lacing can be seen throughout consumption.
The nose is dominated by citrus and pine aromas, including notes of orange, grapefruit, and honey. Also notable is a bready malt aroma in the background and an overlying spicy quality.
The flavors start off sweet, with notes of honey, grapefruit, and tangerine, and just a bit of spiciness. As the beer is swallowed, the hops really come out more with stronger citrus notes as well as a grassy quality. A slight yeast flavor then appears but is nearly masked by the hops. An odd metallic flavor ends each sip at the back of the tongue. A little bitterness and slight alcohol warmth are noticeable between sips but don't seem to interfere with the flavors during the tasting.
Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, this beer isn't the most gulpable but is still more than sippable. The body is a pretty standard density for the style, but is a bit on the sticky side. The carbonation is certainly doing a lot in the background but is not really noticeable. As such, more carbonation could definitely help to increase this beer's drinkability and cut the stickiness of the body.

Bought this at Total Wine and More in Raleigh, 12 ounce bottle service in a pint glass.
Appearance- Deep Orange with 1/2 inch tan head that's still there after five minutes. Nice lacing.
Aroma- very pleasant citrus aroma.
Taste- Lots of hops, grapefruit overtones. Very tasty.
Mouthfeel, Nice, not over carbonated.
Overall a very nice, hoppy, IPA.
