[Best served in a Tulip glass]

The pour was a murky medium brown with nice orange highlights and an average sized (1-2 finger) off white frothy head that had awesome retention, lasting throughout and producing some really excellent sticky lacing.

The aroma was of a light grain malt, a moderate dose of floral hops and a mild soapy yeast with notes of caramel, banana, citrus (grapefruit) and a touch of dark berries.

The taste was lightly sweet with a touch of bitterness and had notes of caramel and a bit of banana at first, then progressed into a very nice hoppy citrus taste with a hint of berries at the end. The flavor lasted a truly long time after the swallow, with a really tasty fruity hoppy flavor left to settle on the taste buds.

Mouthfeel was somewhere between light and medium in body and had a dry texture with a good strong lively carbonation.

Overall a bold fruity IPA that goes down so smooth that it offers no notice of the higher alcohol content...

Poured into a Black Raven pint glass. Pours a clear coppery orange amber. Nice one finger white head and lacing. Aroma of Belgian spices, light and exotic fruit, light sweet malt. Interesting combination of hops, malt, citrus and light fruit to start, finish is a bit dry and and abrupt which doesn't present the residual citrus and piney hops that well. Nice medium almost creamy body. I really like the subdued, well integrated flavors of the start and middle, which make up for the finish.

last one of the 6 pack, finally made time to review it.

pours a mahogany amber color with a contrasting cream colored thin head.
for the smell, u get the aromas of citrus and pine from the plentiful hops in the IPA, but also the belgian yeast aroma comes in and balances with it evenly.
the taste matches the aroma, but even better. The balance between the belgian yeast and the hoppy-ness is excellent.
the mouthfeel is good with a pleasant amount of carbonation and crisp finish.
overall this is a very good beer that i think is a great example of its style.

12 oz. bottle poured into pint glass.

A - Pours a transparent amber with a two finger bright white head. The head dies, leaving a nice halo. Good lacing.

S - Grapefruit, banana, cinnamon, bitter hops.

T - The taste is a bit sweet on the front with some of the bubblegum belgian flavors coming in. The warrior and amarillo hops are present throughout giving this beer a bitter, slightly peppery character. The Belgian flavors are not strong, but they balance well with the hoppy, citrus, IPA flavors to make a nice flavor. The finish is dry and a bit spicy.

M - Highly carbonated, contributing to a prickly finish. Medium bodied.

O - This is a Belgian IPA that favors the IPA side of things slightly. The flavors are well balanced and I appreciate both the Belgian flavors and the bitter hoppy kick this one gives. I don't like too many of Flying Dogs' beers but this one is very good. The high alcohol is well hidden and the flavors are great.
