Pours a bright semi-hazy orange/amber with a decent yet active head which slowly recedes.

Smells of lots of clove, bananas, and some oily hops. Can definitely tell that some Belgian yeast is involved with this brew. Hop presence comes forward more on the nose as the brew warms.

Another flying dog brew with incredible lacing after my first sip. You can definitely taste the belgian influence here through a clovey, nutty, banana bread like sweetness but the hops are over the top. There's definitely a nice belgian sweetness up front, but this ipa is taking it to the next level hop wise. Bigger in body than most other ipa's as well as being bigger in hop presence, this is jut a big beer all together. The only problem I have with the beer though is that the belgian presence and the hop presence dont seem to collide correctly.

While the flavors are all there, they act separately on your tastebuds.

Unique brew if nothing else.

On nitro at Station Taproom, 11/20/11.

Not sure how this is my first review of any kind for this beer considering I have had it at least 20 different times. But only once on nitro.

A-Pour is a clear amber red with a foamy off white head and great sheets of lacing.

S-Huge peppery Belgian yeast notes dominate the citrus hoppiness that is nicely present.

T-Great caramel malt base with a yeasty Belgian zing, nicely balanced with the hops.

M-Medium bodied, nice dryness.

O-I am not generally a fan of this brewery but this beer knocks it out of the park. So glad this is a year round selection now.

A: Beautiful copper orange color a fluffy 1 inch head. Some of the best retention and lacing I've seen in a while; all the way down the glass.

S: Smells like an IPA should; bright and spicy, though the hop aroma is even a little subdued for how bitter it tastes.

T: Tastes hoppier than it smells. Strong hoppy flavor with not quite enough malt to keep up. More spicy in its hops than citrusy. Tastes dry.

M: More body than I was expecting; call it medium. More carbonated than I tend to like. Dry finish. Belgian in that regard.

O: I think this is a pretty darn good bottle of beer, but I know that I tend to like my beers on the hoppy side.
