I picked this up as part of a build-your-own six pack for $9.99 at the Binny's store in Bloomingdale, IL. 12oz brown bottle with no legible freshness date. Due to its popularity, the beer is now being offered year round instead of being a one time limited release.
The beer pours a pitch black color with a nice 2½-finger tan head on top that hangs around awhile and leaves lots of lacing.
Pleasant roasted malt smell along with burnt sugar, dark chocolate, and caramel aromas.
Nice roasted malt flavor with caramel sweetness, dark chocolate, and even a touch of bitter coffee taste. I couldn't taste any oysters or oyster flavoring, but not sure that that isn't a good thing. Also can't detect any hop presence, but again, it doesn't need it.
Smooth, almost creamy texture that makes for a medium bodied stout. Carbonation is moderate and that works well here.
This is a very tasty stout.

A- dark black with a roasted toffee like head. one finger max and runs away quickly but the lacing is pretty decent. Straight line around the pint. opaque as well.
S- dark chocolate and roasted toffee malts with hints of wood smoke of oak maybe.
F- I don't detect the strong oyster flavor that some are saying but I do get a briny ocean taste. The roasted toffee malts are more pronounced and the dark chocolate comes to the front as well.
M- a heavy stout indeed and it has some viscosity to it. The flavors linger in the mouth and the follow down the throat. pretty decent. in a stout.
O- an above average stout and I was hesitant at first because of the 'oyster' in the name but it is really tasty.
