This isn't my first time around the block with this beer. It's become one of my regulars, maybe partly due to the fact that I live very near the brewery.
Pours a slightly hazy orange-gold, with a thin, wispy head that laces down the glass.
This is a yeasty brew. Lemongrass and hay on the nose, which are both prominent in the flavor as well. Along with slightly citrusy (tangerine?) hops that play well with the bouquet of Belgian spices. Slightly sweet in a crisp sort of champagne-y way to balance everything out. Mouthfeel is soft but vibrant.
This makes for a good go-to beer throughout the year when you're looking for an alternative to the regular rotation of pale ales/IPAs. It sort of bridges the gap between a saison and tripel.

355 ml bottle, from a an archeological excavation in my beer "cellar", as Flying Dog Wildeman Farmhouse IPA. BB date 24.05.2014. From Vinmonopolet. ABV is 7.5%. Deep golden colour, huge white head. Pleasant aroma of ripe and over-ripe fruits and berries, also notes of farmhouse. Flavour slightly on the sweet side, good maltiness, noticeable hops but fairly moderate for an IPA.
