Poured from 12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: light golden hue with a touch of haze and a bit of a silvery sheen. Effervescence is strong and the head poured an inconveniently massive four fingers of frothy white foam. Attractive, if annoying.
Smell: sweet, golden malt; a hint of funk; citrusy hops and an overall "green-ness". Well-balanced and fragrant; I quite like it indeed.
Taste: a little bit funkier than the aroma, but the same trifecta of tasty malt, funk and a good hop character are all here. Bitterness takes over at the end, but doesn't wallop me. Balanced and tasty.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied with a high carbonation level. Surprisingly, that mammoth head did not use up all the fizz this thing had to offer. Overall the mouthfeel is creamy and satisfying.
Overall: I like this beer a lot, perhaps more than I conveyed above. It is balanced, tasty, and just appeals to my palate. Very tasty, and I look forward to having it again.

Pours a hazy pale orange with a one finger white head, with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma has pears, Belgian yeast, citrus, cloves, and pale malts.
The taste is more bitter than I would have expected and has citrus, citrus zest, pepper, phenols, Belgian yeast, pale malts, and cloves. The proportions of the ingredients do not seem to be ideal, and this beer kind of seems like it was just thrown together, without much thought be given as to how it would turn out. Each sip seems to start sweet, and finishes overly bitter, with a good deal of citrus zest.
Medium bodied with above average carbonation, and an overly bitter finish. A decent beer, but if falls short of the best Belgian IPAs.
