Pours a reddish copper with a finger of beige head that lingered a bit, particularly in the edges of the glass. The nose is malty. The flavor profile is driven by taste of amber malt and includes a trace of sweetness. There is also a hint of cloves in the flavor. The tingling dry bitterness on the finish is a pleasant way to end a decent, but not extraordinary drinking experience.

Bottle > Pint Glass
A - Pours an amber color, about a finger head that disperses fast, moderate lacing.
S - Malts, some light spices and a little sour hint
T - Slightly tart, rye, malty and some herbs, dry hops.
M - Good carbonization, a little bitterness hangs on.
O - An average red ale, enough said.

Was able to snag a bottle of this for a Buck at the House of 1,000 beers, very weird to see it this cheap since it was just brewed a month or two ago.

A - A very festive full inch of head atop of a very dark amber brown, which looks more like a brown ale but whatever.
S - Some caramel malt, fresh greens, and some hops in the mix. Slightly sour as well.
T - Huh it taste rather middle of the road. Starts off with lager yeasts, then the bitterness comes in like dandelion leaves (which I assume is the clovers) and it finishes with some sweet malts. Not that great.
M - Light to medium, somewhat fizzy (which could be why the taste is so light).

Overall I will pretty much try anything for a buck and even though I only had one bad Flying Dog brew (tire bite) this one is pretty close. I haven't had the Old Scratch in forever so maybe this uses the same recipe? Regardless it wasn't that great.
