Poured from a 12 fl oz can.
Appearance: First things first, I am not a big fan of Flying Dog's label artwork. I take that back, I like the artwork, just not on a beer. It's distracting in my opinion. Beer pours a cloudy pale lager yellow with a thick head and lots of carbonation.
Smell: Delicious lemon smelling hop aroma. Unusual for a pale lager. Very nice!
Taste: This where the beer loses it for me. The smell is great, but the flavor is too muted and earthy for me. Almost like an English IPA. The hops seem to die on the vine (or is it bine?)
Mouthfeel: Not bad, a little too creamy if anything. I like my lagers crisp!
Overall: Not a fan of UnderDog. All bark and no bite.

A:Poured into a Shaker pint glass. It pretty much looked like what it purported to be - a plea lager. Yellow with a touch of amber. There was a minimal head that dissipated quickly. There was a lot less carbonation than I am used to seeing.
S: Light malt.
T: More taste than an AAL but this one won't lure me away from SA Boston Lager.Yes, a different style but I much prefer the, to me, bigger taste of SABL.
M: Pretty light due to the low level of carbonation.
O: I'm glad I tried it as part of a mix six but this is one I won't be getting again.

Pours an almost clear gold with a nice head. Lacing and retention are good. Light nose of floral, but not quite sweet, hops over biscuit. Light medium body with slightly smooth texture. Normal carbonation with a touch of effervescence on the finish. Laid back flavor profile of floral hops over a light bitterness. On the finish, a bit of sweet biscuit is noted. A very good lager.
