Poured into a pilsner a clear light golden with a large fluffy crown that settled ever so slowly leaving multiple broken chunks of lace behind.Mild toasted grain, iron, and lightly sweet caramel malts in the nose,it's not a clean nose wich to me is a good thing.Toasted bready malt with some herbal hop notes on the palate, again mild caramle and iron finish out the flavor profile. This is a damn nice lager here,Iam gonna be drinking this on Monday while out grilling.

From BeerAdvocate magazine Issue #64 (May 2012):

LOOK: Great lacing, clear pale gold and bubbly

SMELL: Floral, hop oil, leafy, bready, crackers, clean, faint spiciness, Asian pear

TASTE: Crisp snap, lighter body, hop oil, soft herb, dried grass, walnut skin, moderate bitterness, spicy; grainy, dry finish

Pretty easy to drink, though the finish does become a bit too grainy and bitter without anything to accompany it. We applaud them for brewing something that is yellow and fizzy in a sense, something “craft beer” needs a bit more of, as it should not be forgotten.

12 oz can. Pours clear light golden with a medium pillowy white head that retains well and leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is sweet bready caramel malts and noble hops and a little fruit.

The flavor is sweet bready toffee malts with a medium spicy noble hop finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with some spritzy carbonation and a little watery.

Overall, a decent fairly well balanced lager - still a little sweet for me.

A 355ml bottle with a BB of June 2013. Picked up some time ago from Trembling Madness in York. I love Ralph Steadman's art, though the label on this brew is a trifle disturbing. Is the dog attempting to suckle at a giant pair of tits, or a different part of the anatomy?

Poured into a straight pint glass. A bright golden colour with faint haze and good carbonation. Yields a decent head of white foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding. Aroma of light malt with hints of noble hops, grass, very mild pine and earthy yeast. Dry and rather subtle.

Tastes of light malt with a crisp bitter finish. Notes of grass, peppery noble hops, earthy yeast and a whisper of pine. Surprisingly dry, with a moderate bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, dry and unusually tingly. Nice carbonation and decent body. Slightly astringent, with an aftertaste of bitter noble hops and yeast.

Pretty good. Not the best craft lager I've tried, but a distinct cut above any macro crap. The noble hops and earthy yeast add depth to the aroma/flavour, but both seem too restrained. In particular, the flavour doesn't linger and falls flat as you finish a mouthful. A decent brew - worth trying if you come across it.

Bottled served in nonical glass

A - Clear pale straw with 2 finger with bubbly head with good retention and good lacing.

S - Grapefruit, lemon, fruity yeast, crackers

T - Follows the nose, light, wheaty, with a bit of fruit and touch of bitter

M - Light body, moderate-high carbonation, smooth

O - Nice session beer, not too complex, but refreshing and better than your average lager.

Pours a brilliant pale golden color with a bright white thicket of head forming so nicely. Aroma has a nice citric nose with biscuit malt character weighing with a nice bread dough appeal. Flavor has a nice grassiness evident hop backend with citric peel and grassy herbal qualities amongst a pale malt breadiness this is the best summer beer around right now. Light refreshing about the same alcohol content as a Bud Light, with actual hop flavor and bready grains. I fully approve of the sessionable alcohol level the label is a bit weird as smaller dog sitting on a barrel trying to bite some balls hanging down from a bigger dog. What the hell is Ralph Steadman drawing? I don't know about the art on the label but the art in the bottle is working just fine. Excellent beer pounding out much drinkability blended with enough citric hops to keep anybody interested in the good stuff. Carbonation is sturdy carries the lighter bodied beer very well, extremely sessionable and keeps you wanting another and another beer.

12 oz bottle poured clear amber with plenty of visible carbonation bubbles, covered by o small but durable white head.
The aroma is pleasant, with surprising floral and fruity aspects. The malt is evident in tasting, where a sweet, caramel malt arrives before the beer becomes increasingly bitter, with earthy and spicy hops kicking in early on. The finish is good, but the aftertaste has too much bitter grapefruit rind for this style.

M: medium-light body with medium+ carbonation and a slightly dry finish.
O: In the acceptable/average range for this style.
