look: 3.5 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3 | feel: 3.25 | overall: 3

Appearance - Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white finger width head. Decent retention. Leaves a fair amount lacing with good stick.

Smell - Caramel malt aroma rushes out from the bottle when first poured, but dies down rather quickly. Lesser notes of honey and floral hop begin to pop up as the beer warms. Slightly citric.

Taste - Subtle flavor from start to finish, hitting on caramel, honey, and slight grassy bitterness on the back end. A very underwhelming flavor profile.

Mouthfeel - Light, near watery body. Carbonation is light, though what's there is fizzy. Easy to drink, due to it's watery character.

Overall - One of the more underwhelming offerings from Flying Dog. Lacks flavor, even for a pale lager. Consider this an outside summer brew, and only if better options aren't available.

12 oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present, acquired at the local Binny's in a mixed six pack. Poured into a Firestone Walker pint glass.

A - Pours a nice clear amber lager with no bubble action, and a wonderful fluffy two finger head that dissipates rather quickly. Scattered lacing.

S - Smells of pale malts, faint juicy hops, slight hint of some kind of spice perhaps.

T - Crisp malts and clean finish paired with some very nicely sublte grassy pine needle hops and a dry feel, yet with minimal bitterness. Smooth and refreshing. Somewhat of a hoppy sweetness on the back end, also.

M - Feel is slightly dry and resinous with some piney aftertaste present for a little while. I guess I would say it has somewhat of a creamy aftertaste going for it also, a little bit.

Overall, definitely a very light refreshing lager from Flying Dog, the first lager beer I've had of theirs, and I would be looking forward to another for sure. A modest 4.7% abv, a perfect sippin beer for those lazy hot summer days. Reminds me a bit of a lighter version of the Redhook Long Hammer IPA. Definitely a Flying Dog beer I'd have again.

nice amber color. medium bodied. some up front malt aromas. slightly hoppy with some floral and citrus notes. as a side note, im not a huge fan of the packaging. I enjoyed it although was not blown away by it. Next I would like to pair it with specific cuisine. I see it going well with a nice firm white fish, possible chilean sea bass in a lemon white wine sauce. Slight bitter ness with enough body to hold up to a nice firm fish.

On draft at The Lark, East Northport, NY.

Poured a light copper hue with a one finger frothy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured a light florsl hop and faint grainy malts.

The taste consisted of a crisp, crackers malt accented with a drying grassy hop.

The mouthfeel was toward the fuller side of the style.

Overall a clean, easily quaffable lager.

Part of the Shock & Awe Variety Pack - $16.99 at Bullock's Wine & Spirits in Marietta, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a light golden body with a slight haze to it and a sufficiently-sized, white head.

Smell: Softly toasted grains and hay, some pilsner-esque hints with a little edge of caramel that doesn't come across for me in the taste. Lightly floral with some citrus akin to lemon zest with some pith taken.

Taste: Light hay-like character to the modest pils maltiness. Floral tones, minor lemon. Acceptably bitter. Minor toasty grains on the back half. Drying, gently bitter finish.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: Thirst: quenched! A taking-it-easy, refreshing, relatively lower alcohol lager.
