Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy orange-tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, earth, yeast, spice, and slight dried citrus peel aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, earth, and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of yeast and spice bitterness and an alcohol kick on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty, but the alcohol presence is definitely noticeable with each sip.

Serving type: bottle.

Pretty nice. Got it for the funny bottle, and it said tripel (I'm a tripel freak), but this is a quad. Sorry. It's a quad. Not a bad one, but not top shelf, either. No head. Zero. Good dark brown color and caramel and dark fruit smell, and the taste follows, with plum, raisin, and also some pineapple and a HINT of zesty hops in the finish. Would say, this is a middle of the pack, maybe upper-middle, quad in taste and presentation.

A murky orange pour with a yellowish off white head. Small chunks of yeast add to the overall turbidity. Light lacing here and there.

Nose has apples and light white wine, sugar pilsner malt. There's a healthy amount of alcohol with a peppery bite. Some fruity esters and surprisingly no banana. Well maybe a little but you have to really search. Very bready/doughy malt.

Taste is solid for the style, though a bit alcoholc. Sweet malty front has lots of dinner roll and dough. Apples lightly roll off the malt into a cascade of sugary notes. Pears and grapes and a light flash of toffee infused cinnamon. Finish is clean a very dry with a little bit of chalky yeast and mild but blanketing, tea like, hoppiness. Indeed, hops are quite low and while very effective in drying out the beer, they don't draw attention to themselves.

Feel is nice and well carbonated with a gentleness that takes it towards a lightly creamy, velvety texture. Weight is a slightly heavy medium that is just right for the style and and this time of year.

A solid entry. Nothing that sets the world on fire like it's namesake but an enjoyable and tasty brew.

Poured from the 22 oz bomber in a snifter, this decent tripel pours a murky orange with a nice
head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, thick layer, and decent lacing. Nose of yeast esters
of banana, light Belgian spice--coriander, breaded malts, and candy malts.
Flavors follow the nose with candy malts and breaded malts touched by herbal coriander that lingers
into the back with light banana and apple cider on the sides, and a lingering bitterness from the coriander and herbal
hops that isn't too over the top. Decent mouth feel, medium light carbonation, and an herbal finish.

Decent for the style, but nothing to chase after, but if it is available it is decent.

Cheers
