Poured from the bottle a light golden color with a very thin white head. No lacing left behind.

The aroma was mostly light grains and just a hint of of floral hoppiness.

The taste was fairly bland with just a sweet maltiness presented. Nothing there as far as hops.

Lighter bodied and crisp with a moderate carbonation.

A fairly average American Blonde from Fish Tale. Nothing stood out or delivered anything to make it memorable.

4% certified organic.

A: Pale lemony pour, slight cloudiness, with a mixture of micro & macro bubbles. Dirty white head is slight and washy, lackluster providing no window dresing.

S: dried grains, dried lemon bread, very weak aromatically.

T: Lemon straw, citrusy flavor, a bit tart, wheat with some lemony hop flavor but not particularly tasty. Linear experience, no bright spots.

M: Some signs of carbonation crispness, light bready body, tart.

O: Overall an average experience sums this up best lacking any real drinking enjoyment, with a meh sensation all the way through. Your not missing much here and at .99 a bottle thankfully im not missing much either.

S: Musty, what else can I say?

T: A little sweet apple cider, honeyish upfront with a somewhat clean but bitter, astringent fiunish

M: Light bodied, sordove boring, flat and not to appealing

O: A pretty poor representation of the style

12 ounce bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours out a hazy, dirtied (maybe filthy) blonde-hued body with a small, wispy, whitish head.

Smell: Cereal-scented barley with a faint floral undertones and a odd splash of apple juice.

Taste: Golden barley with a small dose of malty sweetness. Sip of mass-made cider. Not picking up any of the added rye grain. Lightly floral hops, very light bitterness. Sweetish, curiously cidery finish. Dull. Cidery.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: This one never aspires to be more than a humdrum blonde ale.

Poured from a bottle into a stein glass.

Look – light golden color, clear, with light but good carbonation and about half a finger’s worth of foam that dissipates quickly.

Smell – light, grainy, but somewhat earthy smell. It literally smells like something grown from the earth like beans.

Taste – much like the smell, it tastes light with a touch of a cereal grain type of taste, but also with that “home-grown” type of flare as well, which lingers into the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel – pretty well-balanced, but does lean a bit on the watery side.

Overall – a little interesting, but otherwise nothing terribly fancy. Not bad-tasting though.

T - toasty grainy malt with a bitter leafy hop note, slightly metallic and with a bit of pepper and fruit on the late finish
M - very light with a puckering feel that builds through the finish
O - its has characteristic of a kolsch and/or pilsner, nothing really stands out about it, but it is easy drinking

Thanks to theskinny!

A - Yellow, slightly hazy body with a stark white head of about a quarter inch.

S - Mild wheat aroma with a hint of sweet.

T - Slight banana with a maltly backdrop. Nothing extraordinary in this flavor.

M - Slightly coarse throughout with a moderate thickness.

~ This is a decent Blonde but not something I would recommend to a friend.

This beer pours a hazy pale golden hue, with one finger of soapy white head, which disappears quickly, leaving random splotches of lace around the glass. It smells of bready barley malt, and fruity floral hops. The taste is more bready, grainy malt, a bit of citrus, and floral, herbal hops. The carbonation is on the low side, the body soft and pretty smooth. It finishes, surprise, with a mildly sweet breadiness and soft bitter hoppiness.

Consistent, if anything, this beer. I'm not a huge fan of this particular style; however, this one is quite flavourful, and went down well with leftover turkey.

From BeerAdvocate Magazine Volume II, Issue V:

Fish Brewing mashes in a little bit of rye malt for this summer seasonal. Dim golden hue has some haze, not cloudy, but definitely hazy. White lacing wavers to just a thin ring. Kiss of spicy rye malt in the nose, doughy maltiness and a faint flowery hop show that this is a very delicate aroma. The intense crispness cleans the palate with every sip, slightly smooth and creamy moderate body. Quick blast of pleasant maltiness is split apart by the spicy rye malt tone. Light flowery hop flavor throughout with a sufficient bitterness that couples with the rye to keep an even balance. Semidry finish with more spice and a long, lingering dried grass malt flavor.

Ample flavor to go around, crisp and drinkable, which are two great qualities to have in a summer seasonal. The rye kicks it up a notch compared to most Blonde Ales that tend to be quite pedestrian. Solid pick.

Einstein said the definition of insanity was repeating the same behavior over and over again and expecting a different outcome. This explains why I continue to lose money at blackjack and why I still order blonde ales expecting them to be something other than boring crossover beers.

Case in point: Fish Tale Blonde. This odorless ale brewed with a touch of rye shows refined clarity in a shimmering hue of polished brass. It's quite pretty though it has a mediocre head. (Why must even a blonde beer lend itself to the stereotype?) My first impression of the taste was one of enthusiastic blandness: dour English yeasts and bashful hops on a base malt beer of restrained identity. As I kept drinking, the beer opened up somewhat. Good thing I never drink samplers or I would never have located the vague expression of spice that emerges late in the play.

A beer for people who fear beers.

The beer pours from the 12-ounce bottle a clear gold, the head two fingers, the texture creamy and the color white, lacing provides a nice concealing sheet upon the glass. Nose has a sweet malt aroma; hint of hops, citrus like crispness, start has a decent malt presence with a bit of bitter bite, top light to medium in feel. Finish sternly acidic, somewhat sweet with the hops present, quite dry aftertaste, a drinkable beer, average at best, nice session beer.

The blonde pours a clear golden blonde color with very little foam head and some nice webbing on the side of the glass. It comes with a spawned on date which is nice. The smell is a small hoppy but not a lot coming through. It is malty on the palate and leaves a slight lemon taste on the mouth. Not bad but a bit pedestrian.

Deep ,clear golden ale, with a off white bubbly head. Nice enough aroma, mainlly doughy maltiness, some hops but very faint. Semi-sweet taste, not cloying, mainlly malty, with a lemon after taste, ho hops detected, Ok on the palate, actually quite " substantial for the style. Overall a nice enjoyable ale, nothing spectacular but OK.

Appearance- This poured a mostly clear, medium gold color with a small white head. Very little head retention, no lacing. Looks a little like a urine sample after a heavy night of partying.

Aroma- The aroma is quite subtle. Very clean and crisp smelling. first thing that comes to mind is a nice malt sweetness, followed by a mild graininess. Also a hint of corn.

Taste- It's okay. A very mild malt sweetness followed by a grainy middle and just a hint of pepper in the finish.

Mouthfeel- Medium body (for style). A bit over-carbonated.

Drinkability- Not a great beer overall, but worth trying. This would be a very good lawnmore beer.

12oz bottle purchased at Huckleberry's in Spokane for $ 1.49. According to the label, this was "spawned" in June.

This poured a medium gold color with a moderate sized bone-white head that stuck arouond for a few minutes. What little lace there was confined itself to leaving the occaisional spot on the sides of the glass.

The smell of this beer was fairly restrained. Mildly malty, with a bit of pepper and honey thrown in. Largely confines itself to being inoffensive.

The taste is similar to smell. This is meant to be mild and bland, and tastes accordingly.

The mouithfeel is bland as well. I feel this is where this could have shined by providing a refreshing crisp sensation, but it's virtually MIA instead.

This is actually too inconsequential tasting to be very refreshing. If the mouthfeel or flavor was a little more interesting I would consider it a decent lawnmower beer. Instead it's something that tastes vaguely like a beer.
