Tried a pint on tap at Beer Revolution in Calgary. Pale clear classic amber hue with around an inch of whitish head gracing the top. Aroma rather inviting, hop citrus and spice notes galore with just the barest hint of rock candy sweetness. Initial few sips fit the "hop bomb" mould, lots of bright vibrant lemon, lime, grapefruit and tangerine rind/juice which taken together remind one of a mixed citrus beverage with breakfast. Some nice warm black pepper and pine elements come through as well, although eventually things settle down and one is left consuming a pleasant enough tart IPA, rather thin of body, fizzy, and with the malts largely in the background except for an emergent light sweetness. Hop flavors carry through into the semi- dry finish. Although this won't shift too many people's paradigms, there is little to complain about either, and this one gets my vote for its fresh citrus character and smooth bitterness. Some may want more malt to shine through and/or more bitterness up front.

I had this while dining at Bone-Fish Grill. I thought it was on tap, so a bottle was a little bit of a disappointment (not that that's the beers fault). Typical IPA aroma and a bright orange amber color with light carbonation. It had a good mouth feel, and then a surprising finish/after taste. Almost a tannin like taste from a red wine. It was worth trying, but I doubt I'll try it again. I've found other IPAs I like more.
