A quite dark brown color, with a light brown foam, a bit bubbley, not too good.
Full smell, malty, with dark and roasted notes, and a light burnt note.
Malty taste, full, again toasted notes. But still balanced, relatively fresh, and not boring.
Toasted aftertaste, quite long. Not bad,. And in the finish, a good bitterness, almost roots, or rhubarb. (351 characters)

This beer was an utter surprise. I've never had a bock beer as intense and complex as this one was.

Appearance wise, this has a lightly colored chocolate milkshake looking head that sticks around almost to the very end of this half hour session. The body of this brew is totally black, with barely a hint of red wine like hues. Altogether this looks a lot like a typical porter.

I didn't really detect too much in the way of aromas. There is just a little bit of a coffee/burnt toast fragrance.

This tastes like a dream come true, in a land dominated by light pilsners and weizens. The malt definitely comes up front with coffee characteristics, but there is something else here. I detect a strange melon like flavor. Perhaps cantaloupe is the best fruit to describe this flavor.

This is very drinkable but complex. Every sip must be enjoyed with this brew.

This bock has an odd creamy and oily feel to it.

I totally love this beer and I will have to hunt it down in bottles. Kudos to Welde Bräu for this work of art! (1,037 characters)
