Pouring a cellar temp bottle into a tulip snifter glass. The beer pours a clear bright amber with mild red highlights. There are several streams of carbonation rising to the surface creating 1 cm of eggshell head that moves quickly to a sturdy edge layer.
Aroma is some grainy malt but also lots of tart cherry and a little acetic vinegar note.
First sip reveals an average body with very fine tingly carbonation.
Flavor is grainy malt and a bit of caramel, some bready yeast and then tart cherry lingers on my palate. The beer dries out my mouth after each sip. A tasty tart treat that makes for a good representation of a style that isnt brewed too often. This is an enjoyable beer and I wish I had a few more bottles to share with some friends.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep coppery red color, with a thin off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains mostly tart cherries along with some caramelized malts but not much else, which you would expect from the style.

T: The taste starts out with a huge burst of an extremely sour black cherry flavor. Then some mild breadiness comes in from a thin malt character and some Belgian yeast. There’s isn’t any kind of hops presence as you would expect but there also isn’t much balance either. The after-taste is sour.

M: Very crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and slightly sticky.

O: A little flavorful beyond the intense sourness, goes down ok, not too filling, good kick, decent representation of style, if you’re looking for sour-bomb you’ll get it with this beer.

Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass.

A very solid deep red rusty glowing orange body, that makes a 2 finger faint tan head with lots of seltzery snapping sounding carbonation. Head fizzes out quite quickly but a faint pink coral white collar still always remains with some pleasant carbonation.

Nose is watery cherry, a mild sweetness and a little bit of malt depth. Not too bad but not that varied. A short little note of cinammon and spice tones, and some faint wine vinegar but not much.

Palate hits with a wet body even for Flanders Red. Borderline seltzery finish with a little hint of tart fruit. Not much aftertaste going on here on the swallow unfortunately. Nice balance of mild fruit with light acid and simple drinking tartness.

There's unfortunately too much of a watery palate to bring the beers qualities forward, lacking some depth. Drinkable but nothing that really comes off as very appealing.

Pour is a murky orange/brown color. no real head at all. A little hazy though.

Nose is RIPE. Lots of sour dark fruit, cherry, blackberry, plum. Smells really jammy.

Taste is really acidic up front. Big blast of sour black cherry. Lots of sour tartness. Maybe find a little bit of malt up front, but not much. A little hint of raspberry on the finish, but mostly cherry, all though.

Feel is medium thick. Almost syrupy. Really a biting acidity to it all throughout though.

Not my favorite style. But fun for what it is. The cherry is a little cloying and over done, but more power to them for pushing a bit and trying to make a pretty atypical brew. Not bad with spicy food either.
