12.7oz corked and caged bottle poured into a snifter. No bottled on date listed.
A- Pours a dark red/ borderline brown. Lots of fizzy bubbles notes along the sides along with a small amount of a white colored head.
S- Slightly tart with some cherry notes, otherwise nothing on the nose really.
T- Tastes like tart seltzer water. WTF?
M- Light, fizzy, and tart.
Sorry to mimic all the other poor reviews, but don't bother with this one.

Murky brown with no carbonation. It looks like iced tea.
Brown sugar, apple cider vinegar smells.
There's very little flavor. Seriously tastes like a shot of apple cider vinegar stopped in a glass of water.
Completely flat and thin. Watery texture.
It's just an awful beer with nothing to offer. Stay away.

A: Pours a tawny, dark ruby color with no head whatsoever. Come to think of it... there was barely a hiss when I opened the cork and cage.
N: Sour cherries and some "horse blanket" funk, but not very powerful.
T: Shortly after the beer hits your palate it seems to dissipate. The mouthfeel is thin and the finish is very short for what you would expect in this style. Not complex at all.
O: Unfortunately, this beer is a bust. Spend your money elsewhere on some top-notch sours. You will be disappointed with this one.

12.7 fl oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. Another new beer to me from Two Brothers Brewing Co., this time with a cork and cage. My first "sour" or American wild ale from these guys. No abv listed anywhere on the bottle, so I guess it is a mystery to all. Expectations are fairly low based on this beer's current poor reviews.
Poured into an over-sized wine glass.
A - Like others have noted, it pours almost completely flat. Almost has the appearance of a mulled wine. Dark cola / mahogany / ruby colored when held to the light.
S - Smell is of light funky brett, dark cherries, caramel, oak, leather, mild vinegar acidity, and some mineral water. Not particularly powerful smelling, but not bad smelling by any means.
T - Taste follows the nose: some dark fruit / cherry tartness, but virtually no actual 'sour' is present. Mild oak wood / earthiness, caramel, & vanilla. Poor depth and duration of flavor, although not bad tasting or offensive. There really just isn't enough flavor to go around. Like a watery red wine mixed with cranberry juice concentrate.
M - Feel finishes dry, and somewhat sticky sweet. Thin and watery. Definitely suffers from a lack of carbonation.
Overall, this might serve well as a beginner's sour, but it has a long way to go. Needs more funk, more carbonation, and above all, more sour. Probably the worst beer I've had from these guys, but I will have no trouble finishing this bottle. Very glad to have tried it, and I look forward to trying their next effort at a sour beer.
Two Brothers Tangent ---3/5.

I saw these in the cooler at my local store and excitedly picked one up for around $11. Cork and cage 375ml bottle, served into a Cantillon tulip.
A - I pull the cork out and...nothing. This beer is almost completely flat. It does pour a nice mahogany color though, so I still have hopes that this could still be tasty.
S - Smells of fruit and oak. Not much of a sour smell though that usually gets the saliva flowing.
T - Very bland an unexciting. I don't taste any brett character, acidity, or sourness at all that I was expecting. There is a little bit of fruit flavor, almost raspberry-ish and a little oak as well. This wasn't a drainpour though and it wasn't offensive at all, but there just wasn't much flavor there at all.
M - Medium bodied, but totally flat. No carbonation.
O - I would like to think that I got a bad bottle, but I've heard the same things from everyone else I've talked to so far. I kind of surprised they even released this to the public. Maybe this will be better in a couple years, but I would spend your $12 on a Two Brothers 6 pack of anything else instead.

375mL corked and caged bottle poured into a snifter. Thanks for sharing Chris!
(A)- Pours a chestnut brown color. Some transparent bubbles; looks flat.
(S)- Vinegar is very evident with an oaky dryness. A bit leathery too.
(T)- Not sour at all. Some leathery dry oak and tannins, but a bit cider-like too. Just the slightest twinge of acidity from its base.
(M)- It is almost completely flat. It feels very thin and cider-like.
(O)- Sorry Two Brothers, but this was a big miss for you. Disappointing considering how well Askew has turned out, and Hoodwink has aged really well as well. I doubt time will help this one unless it carbs up more over time. Bummer
