22 oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. The new 'dunkel lager' from Two Brothers, not a style I am too familiar with, but my expectations are decent enough.
Poured into a clear balloon snifter.
A - Pours an excellent dark caramel amber with some nice clarity to it. Some hues of ruby when held to the light. A finger and a half of frothy khaki head. Nice scattered bubbly lacing. Looks very nice.
S - Smell is kind of strange; not entirely what I was expecting. Musty yeast presence, dusty green apples, sweetened German malt varieties, some mild booze fumes despite the low abv, and a strange muted peachy melon-like fruitiness.
T - Taste is comprised of sweetened bready / grainy / lightly husky malt presence, corn, some caramel, & hints of chocolate maltiness. Muted peachy / melon like fruitiness again, but fairly indistinct. The bittersweet chocolatey / caramel malt tastes really increase as you sip on the beer.
M - Feel is smooth and creamy. Medium-light bodied, with crisp carbonation. Finishes lightly dry and bitter.
Overall, easy drinking and flavorful with a fairly modest 5.90% abv; a good representation of the style I suppose I'd say. Probably not something I would seek out again, but it was definitely worth having. Barrel age this beer, and I'm sure I would love it to death.

Refreshing yet substantial enough for a cold night. Not as roasty as a Schwarz, as it should be. Highly carbonated and quenching, I could drink this all the time. Clean, well made. A great dunkel from the folks at Two Brothers. I also appreciate the affordable price for a bomber.

Another from this brewery that I was only peripherally aware.
A -- Clear, dark chestnut color with a creamy, light tan head that starts strong, but finishes weak.
S -- Light malt sweetness, some odd vegetal character, and some unexpected pepperiness from alcohol.
T -- Starts off lightly sweet and blends to a hop bitterness that's a little strong. Finishes with a light roasted malt character. Aftertaste has some earthiness and peppery alcohol (beer is only 5.9 ABV, but that pepperiness is apparent). Some mild vinous character with warming.
M -- Soft mouthfeel with a medium-full body. Mild astringency from the roasted malts and alcohol.
O -- This beer is very tasty and drinkable, but once again -- closer to a Schwarzbier than a Munich Dunkel. The sweet, bready, melanoidin character is just not present. I can't say how old the beer is because there's no label dating, but I doubt the roasted character would have developed with age.
