12.7 fl oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. I've been holding this beer down for a couple of months now, and finally decided to try it out. A strange beer at that, identifies itself as a 'barley wine style weiss beer'. No abv listed on the bottle anywhere. I'm not entirely sure of what to expect here.
Poured into a clear balloon snifter.
A - Pours a burnt sienna orange colored body, almost IPA like in appearance with two fingers of foamy off-white head and lots of chunky sediment floating around in the glass. Minor scattered spotty lacing.
S - The smell is pretty awful, in my honest opinion. Grainy, wheaty, spicy, and yeasty. Some bubblegum / clove noticeable, but there is a godawful pungent horseradish sort of aroma that is really sickening me out on this one.
T - Taste is extremely dry and grainy. Herbal / grassy with some clove spice, banana, and bubblegum present also.
M - Feel is clean, lightly crisp, grainy, and lightly syrupy. Full-bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, a unique and interesting beer, that's for sure. I can't say I've ever had a beer quite like this one before, but that is for better and for worse, definitely. Drinkable enough for what it is, and the weighty abv, which I'm sure is around 10.00% abv like the others, is hardly noticeable.

500 ml green cork and caged bottle poured into a snifter.
2013 Vintage "This beer can be enjoyed now or cellared. 2-5 years"
A - Slightly heavier and less carbonated, the bubbles slowly rise to the surface through the faintly cloudy golden beer; it's white head lingering briefly to retain some aroma and decorate the snifter in spotty lace.
S - Wheat's typical soft and delicate nature in most wheat beers is greatly amplified in Bare Tree with a thick, heavier nose that almost resembles warm oatmeal. Banana and clove poke through the caramel sweetness and warming alcohol giving this wheat wine a complex nose.
T - Hefty caramel chew sweetness and abundant soft wheat make for a powerful beer up front while banana and clove hefeweiss-like notes dance on the tongue with warming phenolic alcohol on the finish.
M - Bare Tree's soft, creamy entry leads to an overall smooth body that, despite the lighter flavor, is pretty full. Livened up by gentle carbonation, the warming alcohol finish trails off with a "come back for another sip" dryness.
O - I remember the first time I had Two Brothers' Bare Tree in my craft beer infancy; it was revolutionary - eye opening. To this day, after all these beers, it still remains unique and complex, ripe with loads of wheat and suggestions of fruit and spice; almost the perfect transitional beer for the slowly warming days of spring that haven't yet let go of winter's chill.

A: The beer is clear drag golden yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a minuscule head that quickly died down, leaving only a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of malts soaked in wine barrels are present in the nose along with some hints of wheat.
T: The taste is much more complex than the smell and has additional hints of toffee towards the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer definitely tastes relatively strong, but the alcohol is well masked and doesn't detract from the taste.

Transparent orange color. Weak head with virtually no retention and minimal lacing.
Bright floral, fruity aroma with pears at the forefront. Complex and yeasty.
Pear is most prominent in the palate. High level of esters. Weakly herbal hop flavor. Very sweet overall character.
Full bodied. Slick texture. Weak carbonation.
Good for something different but probably won't be revisiting this one for a while.
