Poured a very deep amber color with a milky-white head. Leaves a decent lacing behind as the beer gets lower in the glass.
No bottled on date except for Lot 2617 written on the bottle. Couldn't find anywhere on the website that would interpret this for me. The aroma is rather low. I am not really picking up much from this pour. Mild hop notes, pine aroma is most noticeable.
Very good flavor, smooth and delicious across the whole palate. Finishes with a thick milky/malty sweetness. First flavors and those that stretch across the palate however are subtle hops. Nothing is too overpowering, this is a well-balanced and very easy drinking IPA. Mild bitterness and citrus characters. I'm actually really enjoying the balance in this IPA.
Mouthfeel again is pretty smooth, medium bodied, and easy drinking. That leads me in to describing the drinkability on this one as very good. I sort of wish that the hops were more overpowering, but at the same time I'm really loving how easy to drink this beer is. More along the lines of an amber ale that has been heavily hopped than an IPA. Nonetheless, I like it a lot.
