12 oz bottle poured into pint tulip glass
A: Crystal clear, very deep copper color, very handsome actually, just slightly off-white head, pretty small once it settles but it's clinging to my glass all the way to the top
S: Aroma is very faint, just a crisp malt flavor with a touch of caramel
T: Again very one dimensional, just that light malt flavor, but has a lingering flavor that is not all that pleasant, the caramel sweetness lingers way too long, decent hops attempt to clear your palate, but the hop flavor combines with the sweetness in a strange way and the hops still don't manage to wipe that sweetness away, I attribute this to a heavy hand with the caramel malt
M: Slight dry finish, good carb, medium-light body, one of the highlights of this beer
O: Tastes like a strange french craft ale version of many lagers, overly sweet and slightly unpleasant flavors that linger on your palate, it needs more lightness of flavor not just mouthfeel, the flavors aren't big and bold but they feel too heavy

Draft to Pint/Gueuze glass?
@White Chocolate Grill, Naperville, IL
App- A bit of a caramel apple color with a good density and haze to it. A bit darker highlights with a small one finger head. A little bit of dotted cling.
Smell- A lot of fall scents to me. Pumpkin, squash, butter and a bit of spice and cream.
Taste- This was very similar to the nose. It had a good creamy flavor with a buttery creamy flavor. Some sweeter middle pocketed spiced caramel notes.
Mouth- A lighter medium body with a medium carbonation. Fairly creamy residual flavors with a residual sweet spice.
Drink- Overall, a nice light creamy and refreshing Biere De Garde. Paired this with a blue cheese/walnut spinach salad and a grilled artichoke.
Serving type: on-tap
