Two Brothers Brewing Co. "Outlaw India Pale Ale"
12 fl. oz. can
$1.83 @ Weis Market, Conshohocken, PA
Notes: Crystal-clear orange-amber body beneath a frothy head of off-white. The flavor displays a soft and smooth combination of caramelish malt and floral, citrusy, piney, and mildly tropical hops. The flavor follows and I'm finding additional mild notes of peach, pineapple, sweetened grapefruit, earthy, spicy, and grass. This doesn't mean that it's bold, just that there is some complexity to what's there. The caramelish malt is really nice, and there's even an edge of roastiness. It's bready and toasty and just lightly sweet. A solid bitterness balances it, allowing the sweetness to show midway, but then whipping it into a dry finish with lingering notes of quickly fading fruit and light pine and earth and spice. Hmm, there's a little bit of red fruit and apple to it as well, probably from the yeast. Medium bodied with a fine-bubbled standard carbonation. Overall quite a nice very well-balanced and rounded IPA that straddles the both the English and American styles. Highly drinkable!

Globe; 12 oz can. From what I remember having it this fall, this was a solid IPA.
