12 fl oz. can, with bottom of the can reading best by 05/13/2013. Excited to try this again, drank a couple of these straight from the can last summer, and I'm a fan of what Two Brothers does.

Poured into a Firestone Walker pint glass.

A - Pours a pretty clear dark orange copper color with two fingers of thin doughy bubbly white head on top. Thin, scattered lacing.

S - Pale biscuity malt smell, with the vaguest hint toward piney hops. Not terribly attractive smelling.

T - The taste is comprised of a pleasantly subdued resinous pine hoppiness, paired with some good toasted bready malt backbone. Remarkably well-balanced. I remember thinking this beer extremely bitter with all the hops last summer, but a year later I find it to be more tame. Light, fruity, and somewhat sweet in the finish. Approaching more into APA territory, as some others have noted.

M - Sweet, resinous hops. Some green apple sugars leftover. A clean, pleasant feeling beer.

Overall, not breaking any spectacular new ground here, but it is a nice addition to the Two Brothers portfolio, and a nice change from their hop bombs like Two Brothers Hop Juice or Two Brothers Heavy Handed, with the Two Brothers Outlaw IPA offering a more tame and malty IPA. Better than I remembered it being, so I am definitely glad I gave it another shot! Moderate 6.30% abv, so you could definitely throw a few of these back.

Appearance: Flattish copper. Not my favorite.

Smell: Grapefruit and pine. Could use a bit more of each. I like the smell overall though.

Taste/Mouthfeel: Sour pine and grapefruit. A decent flavor, but not the most assertive. Would work well at a BBQ. Mouthfeel is definitely average, especially for an IPA.

Overall Drinkability: Not my favorite, but I can see it becoming fairly popular. An easy-to-drink IPA.

Best-by date on the bottom of the can says 5/15/13. Consumed on 3/9/13, so it's certainly within the Two Brothers' recommended shelf life. . . .

A: Poured from the can into a pint glass. Body is clear golden-honey with a half-finger whitish head. Nice drapes of lacing down the glass.

S: Toasty, bready malt with a touch of citrus and a hint of pine. Not terribly strong in the nose, and for an IPA it's surprisingly more malt-centered than hop-centered. Smells more like an American Pale Ale or an English IPA, perhaps, than an American IPA.

T: First impression: I'm leaning towards an American Pale Ale profile in the taste too. Bready and caramel malt provide a solid malt foundation. Citrusy hops (think oranges with some lemon at the back of the sip) follow. Finishes clean with a nice lingering bitterness offsetting the sweeter malty tastes. This is not a palate-shredding bitterness, however; it's more muted in bitterness and cut by some sweetness underneath.

M: Medium in heft, carbonation is fairly light, making for a slightly slick feel - but it's an easy drinker.

O: I like this beer, but I think it's mischaracterized as an American IPA. Maybe I'm just used to the hoppy palate-wreckers, but IMO, this comes in closer to an APA, perhaps residing somewhere in that grey area between the two styles. Easily drinkable, though, and I'm not at all disappointed with the overall taste and structure of this beer - it's just that it's a bit more balanced in the hop/malt dynamic than I'd expected.

Best by date stamped on the bottom; I approve of this. I approve very much.

Looks great on the pour. Very strong pine tones on the nose. Flavor is great. Nice hoppy presence with woody and earthy tones and a generous portion of pine. The problem is that the flavor profile drops off so fast. Way too soon. Especially with such a great lead in.

12oz can with the best by date stamped on the bottom. $1.67 each at Binny's.

The beer poured a honey gold color with a half-finger of white head. The head only lasted about a minute, but lacing was good.

The beer has a citrus/pine aroma full of tropical fruits like orange and pineapple.

Whereas the smell had more citrus than pine, the taste has more pine than citrus, but both are present. Pale malts add sweetness to the piny, orange rind, grapefruit flavor. Bitterness is medium at 60 IBU's.

Surprisingly thick and creamy. I loved the mouthfeel.

Not a beer that bowled me over, but decent enough to get a B+ grade.

As bold as the name suggests but as friendly as the masked man. comes our first adventure into the world of cans. this IPA is full of citrus and pine hop character and aroma. the hop flavors play off the pleasant malt complexity like a good sidekick. Giddy-up.

A: Amber color, when sat still you can almost say it looks like honey. inside glass seems to be very calm, yet foam however was not fully white and creamy, had slight brown strides too it.

S: Very distinguishable smell, probably could pick it out just by its smell from 100 different beers. has a heavy pine smell too it, alongside malt and a little oak too it. all i can say is it makes me wonder what it taste likes?

Taste: heavy entrance too it, seems to fit its style with some slight alters, maybe a little to much malt in the batch. only because that does seem to be a dominating factor in this beer. i would not consider this too be a light beer defiantly has a bitter aftertaste. Don't hate it.

M: I actually can say it does have a smooth body too it, but am not gonna leave out the fact that it is very heavy in a piney stale taste to its entrance.
