A: Sharp clarity on a light pumpkin orange coloring. Thin, washy head, oatmeal color, doesn't hold long. Light spacious of moderate rise of effervesce with a minimal lacing.

S: Grassy grapefruit, tart lemonade with a limited strength per style. Gentle fade of lemony fresh flowers.

T: Starts out really sweet from the grains, some flowery lemon hops that are light to moderate in strength. Flavor seems a bit thin substance wise, with some toasted nature and grassy pine fade but really fails to capture and hold ones attention.

M: Medium maltiness, toasted dry citrus and grains, average rate of carbonation with a small leave of bright lemony hops on the tongue.

O: Overall the hops seem a bit muddled, could be brighter and more defined, rather it stands in the background like the shy kid sitting in the back of the classroom not wanting to get noticed. At 60 ibus i was expecting a bit more, the flavor is not really bad, its just an ipa thats more of a casual drinker rather then an experience. Average expectations.

Pours a lively orange/copper with a thick and fluffy head more orange than any I've ever seen before. Settles nicely into the glass leaving an ample amount of lacing clinging to the glass. Nice clarity.
Smells of pine sap, grapefruit pith, sweet malty grains and light touches of pineapple and caramel. Not amazing depth or even anything that really stands out, but for a regular IPA, it's very nice.
Tastesjust like the nose hints at. Nicely piney, fresh cut citrus, splashes of caramel, mango, fresh cut grass and sweet malt grains.
Really nice blend of citrus, grassy pine and grainy sweetness. Nothing really special but very nicely done.
If you're looking for yet another over the top IPA, this isn't it. What it is a fantastic drinking IPA with nice balance and depth. An awesome cookout brew at a touch over 6%.

This poured out as a clear copper color with a bubbly white head on top. The lacing is moderate, the retention is decent. The smell of the beer is malty with a hint of hops on the nose. The taste is more malt forward than hoppy, just not enough bitterness I my opinion. The mouthfeel is pretty good, medium bodied with a decent carbonation. Overall it's an ok beer, but not much for an IPA.

Poured from a 12oz. can into a standard pint glass.
Clear, copper/gold in color, with an airy two-inch head of foam.
Aroma-Nice whiff of piney, citrussy hops
Taste-Toasted malt, piney hops and an underlying white grapefruit-rind bitterness that carries to the finish. Nice flavor and convenience in a can.

The Outlaw is a solid IPA from Two Bros. The beer pours a clear copper with thick frothy head which is leaving a nice lace on my pint glass. The smell is ok...not nearly as sussinct as the SideKick. There is malt and faint hops. The taste is a good balance between malt and hops...I would really like to do a taste test between this and the bitter end. The mouthfeel is medium body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer and can be sessioned...easily.

Seen this brewer at the craft beer outlet so I thought I give it a try. I was pleasently surprised at how good it was.
B/B 6/29/13
As soon as I popped the can a pleasent hoppy bouquet greeted me. Citrusy with oily hop resin and a desent malt bill. A great nose.
Appearance was nice to, I was looking forward to drink it. It was welcoming. The color was amber with a loose structured white head on top.
Taste was sweet to begin, and had a good hoppy bite. Hops were citrusy like in the nose but was a bit muddled too. Malts balanced out nicely to make this a fresh easy drinking beer with a slightly bitter ending.
My first from Two Brothers and hopefully noit my last. Go get some.

12 fl oz. can, with bottom of the can reading best by 05/13/2013. Excited to try this again, drank a couple of these straight from the can last summer, and I'm a fan of what Two Brothers does.

Poured into a Firestone Walker pint glass.

A - Pours a pretty clear dark orange copper color with two fingers of thin doughy bubbly white head on top. Thin, scattered lacing.

S - Pale biscuity malt smell, with the vaguest hint toward piney hops. Not terribly attractive smelling.

T - The taste is comprised of a pleasantly subdued resinous pine hoppiness, paired with some good toasted bready malt backbone. Remarkably well-balanced. I remember thinking this beer extremely bitter with all the hops last summer, but a year later I find it to be more tame. Light, fruity, and somewhat sweet in the finish. Approaching more into APA territory, as some others have noted.

M - Sweet, resinous hops. Some green apple sugars leftover. A clean, pleasant feeling beer.

Overall, not breaking any spectacular new ground here, but it is a nice addition to the Two Brothers portfolio, and a nice change from their hop bombs like Two Brothers Hop Juice or Two Brothers Heavy Handed, with the Two Brothers Outlaw IPA offering a more tame and malty IPA. Better than I remembered it being, so I am definitely glad I gave it another shot! Moderate 6.30% abv, so you could definitely throw a few of these back.
