Pours an incredibly clear and somewhat light golden color, a bit of amber as well, but notably clear, could read a paper through it. Moderate head and good lacing, very tiny bubbles dancing near the surface.
Smell is more malt than hops a bit subdued frankly. Taste is actually quite nice, a velvety smooth character and a bit of vanilla that comes through, certainly picking up something different, so my naive palate will attribute to the oak barrel, being a novice on barrel aged beers.
I like it, not sure what to expect from IPA Oak aged, but gives it a mellow character, especially in the mouthfeel and aftertaste.
