I appreciate that the Beer Advocate tries to keep up...but the Bail-out Ale is alive and well at "The Bank" in Wheaton, IL where is is specifically brewed for. Anyhow... the beer purs a brillant clear golden in color with a 1/2 finger thick head which laced amazingly. The smell include hints of Saaz hops and citrus. The taste was a very well balanced ale between hops and malt. The 5% abv makes the mouthfeel into a light to medium body ale with very good carbonation. Overall....quite honestly ....this might be the best Blonde Ale i have ever had!!!! Go to "The Bank" and try for yourself.

Served in a Sierra Nevada shaker pint glass at The Bank.

Apparently, Two Brothers brews this guy specifically for The Bank in Wheaton. Figured while I was in the area I'd drop in and give it a try. It pours a clear pale straw topped by a finger of sturdy white foam. The nose comprises sweet flowers, light caramel, and light orange peel. It definitely fits the bill of "summer ale" that the restaurant advertises it as. The taste leads with a splash of citrus hops that really bring on a flavor of orange peel. Some light caramel and mandarin orange flesh round the lightness out. The body is a sorta heavy-feeling light, with a light moderate carbonation and a kinda dry finish. Overall, a nice, light bit o' brew, nothing overly spectacular, but it's highly drinkable, perfect for a nice evening at this lovely establishment.
