Notes/Commercial Description:
Laughing Panda takes his beer with green tea. This brilliant golden IPA has a fruity tropical aroma and a pleasant astringency from the genmaicha green tea. All finished with a light malt backbone with a small touch of hilarity on the tongue.

No freshness dating on the bottle.

A= Pours a beautiful translucent orange color with a nice thick two fingers of still head that holds great retention and lacing on the side of the glass.

S= The smell is very hop forward for sure. Big fruity hops with a bit of a medicinal character. I wouldn't say it's green tea smelling necessarily but I'm sure that is what is contributing to the aroma.

T= The taste is again a very nice hop forward flavor with a big fruit presence. Some of the fruitiest hops I've had in a while actually. The green tea comes through a lot more in the flavor however. Again slightly medicinal but more of a nice smooth green tea flavor comes out. Really works in mellowing the bright hop flavors to keep your tongue happy.

M= Smooth and supple. The tea adds a great mouth to it. Prolly just placebo but I like it.

O= This is one hell of a beer. Great hop profile and an excellent tea flavor to round it out. It's the best of both worlds.

The Laughing Panda is a decent IPA....different than most and worth a try. The beer poured a clear (I was careful with the pour) orangish golden color with thin white head that is leaving some lace. The scent has some sweetness, hints of pine and I guess a flare of tea. The taste is on the sweeter side to start then a nice bitter enters which brings some citrus and pine. There is a twang in there that I guess would be from the green tea. The mouthfeel is fuller in body with smooth carbonation. Overall this is a decent beer and I am glad to have had the chance to taste it.
