22oz bottle, I am curious to know if this is the same recipe as something I had a few years back called Coffee Dumaine DuPage. This one pours copper, with a thinner off-white head, but good retention as a thick layer of foam remains atop the ale for a good amount of time. For aroma I was hoping for I nice waft of coffee, but there's not much there. There is some toasted grain, toffee, caramel, and earthy grass, much like the regular Domaine DuPage.
The coffee is more present in the flavor profile that includes earthy hops, toasted grain, caramel, and toffee. Sweeter than bitter finish with a creamy, medium mouth feel. Overall, I like it more than I remember liking the other coffee DDP I had, as this one seems much more refined, but I feel the coffee could have been a little more noticeable, especially with the aroma.

On tap at Naperville Ale Fest - 3 oz served in the festival branded pint glass. As a big fan of the original Domaine DuPage as well as coffee flavored/infused beers, I might be biased. Perhaps it's the style (as opposed to a porter or stout) but the beer really doesn't hold as much of the coffee flavor as typical coffee-advertised beers usually do. Meaning, it's not overpowering or a caricature of coffee flavors - it's nicely balanced and the Domaine DuPage still comes through plenty. Great beer and would absolutely try it again.

The French Press is a neat beer that blends Dumaine Dupage with Coffee. The beer poured a caramel clear with little to no head and did not lace. The scent carried slight coffee and some maltiness. The taste had a very nice balance of caramel malt and some espresso. The mouthfeel is medium in body with subtle carbonation. Overall the beer was quite nice and easily sessionable.

Obtained a 22oz. bomber from Binny's in Naperville, IL.

It is exactly like what the bottle says : a coffee-infused Domaine DuPage. It smells like coffee beans, but the coffee smell is not too overpowering. I taste coffee, but again it is not overpowering. A very good job balancing the coffee with the Domaine DuPage, of which the latter's taste is still very evident in this beer. A solid offering by Two Brothers.

Attractive saturated copper color, clarity is bright, a thin layer of soufflé foam on the surface, and a minimal collar around the edges of the glass. Retention is average, the skim breaks after the first couple sips.

Aroma is yeasty and grainy, a little hard pressed to pick up any coffee. >_>

Mild specialty malt grainy sweetness, yeast notes, light coffee lending bitterness in the aftertaste. First sips were a touch metallic, but that seemed to dissipate later on. The yeast and the coffee seem to be at odds. Light to medium bodied with a touch too much carbonation. Not really sure what they were aiming for, i've had solid amber coffee beers before, and this one just is neither here nor there.

Not too different from a standard Domaine Dupage really.

Here is where the maltiness of the principle beer combines wonderfully with the coffee notes. Almost like a heavily tampered with coffee. Ironically, I like my coffee plain black.

The coffee notes are demure compared to most coffee stouts, but for this style of ale it makes sense. Stouts are paired with coffees most for a reason, an ale like this would be overpowered if there were more coffee. That being said, it has a sweet malt caramel taste followed by a pepperish coffee taste.

Good carbonation, taste lingers a little bit thanks to the coffee.

A fun beer to have simply because you don't see many non-stout coffee beers. Try it if you can.
