Pours a moderate brown with a fairly thin head. A bit of the head remains after some time, although the remainder doesn't leave much lacing as it goes down. The nose has got a surprising amount of hop activity with a good amount of pine and citrus. Some caramel and light molasses in the back. The taste brings forward some of the hop elements without too much bitterness. Some light doughy flavors with a bit of toast. Light to medium body. Drinks pretty well overall for a winter warmer and certainly bucks the insane spicing trend.

Surprised when I found this a couple days ago; thought it had been retired. Deep, clear, reddish brown appearance with an average size tan head and good lacing. Muted roasted malt aroma, some spiciness and a faint whiff of wood. Earthy taste is mostly malt driven with familiar notes of toffee and dark fruit. Some hops finally showing up in the finish. Medium bodied, modestly carbonated mouthfeel.

From the can, it pours a brown color with a light can head that slowly dissipates as you drink it and it leaves lacing. In the nose, it is malty. In the mouth, it is roast malt forward with a nice after taste.
Note: Purchased in Dec 2017 and put in the fridge until 2019. The can has "fly south" stamped on it.
